Montblanc #25 Safety Filler WITH Original Skinny Snake Clip Fountain Pen
Here is an excellent example of a “Safety” type pen, model no. 25. It is fitted with the original no. 25 nib, which bears the corresponding engraving; this nib is distinguished by its beautiful flexibility. It is an instrument that would offer a remarkable writing experience to anyone who wishes to use it. The fine snake-shaped clip is original and perfectly period-appropriate. This is a very beautiful example of a 1920s “Safety” pen. As original clips are now harder to come by than the pens themselves, this is a particularly rare find!
An interesting anecdote regarding the “35” series: all models featuring a “5” had the same dimensions as their counterparts without this number. Thus, the model 25 was the same size as the 20, and the 35 the same as the 30. These “5” versions were marketed later at a higher price, although the size of the pen remained identical. 🙂
This pen has been fully restored by Osman Sümer, one of the most renowned and respected restorers in this field. The fittings have a lovely patina; however, they can be polished to regain their full shine if the new owner wishes…
