Montegrappa Brenta Fountain Pen

A brand new silhouette, promising a bright future, is appearing on the horizon. The first model to join our new "Vintage Class" range is the Brenta; it is already available for shipping to various markets.

As those who have visited Bassano del Grappa know, Brenta is also the name of the river that flows under the famous Ponte Vecchio and along our historic headquarters. This 174 km waterway, which connects Trento, Bassano, Padua and Venice to the Adriatic Sea, is closely linked to the history of trade and the Venetian aristocracy; its elegant and peaceful flow is reflected in the soft, attractive facets of our new creation.

Our design is inspired by a rare "Extra" model dating from the 1930s and preserved in our museum. The most striking feature of the Brenta lies in its wave-shaped relief that runs along the entire object — an effect that bears witness to the great technical sophistication of our pre-war manufacture. In fact, such a size, with its sparkling facets, would be difficult to achieve today without the use of state-of-the-art CNC machining.

The Brenta is crafted from resin and embellished with stainless steel elements, notably a cap band composed of three thin bands, in the "cigar" style. It features our classic clip, equipped with a small roller ("ruzzolino"), and is available in fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint pen versions.

The fountain pens use cartridges or a converter and are offered with three types of 6 mm nibs: stainless steel (sizes EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1, Stub 1.5), 14-karat gold (sizes EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1) or 14-karat "flex" gold (sizes EF, F). The Brenta comes in a new cardboard box, exclusive to the "Vintage Class" collection.
